THE TEST OF TIME: A stainless steel commercial test model shown above (with curved-black stall) has been regularly used in a public-type setting over several years and counting with proven Ultra-Low Maintenance results. During its on-going testing only our patented microdroplet-rinsing has been used to clean the interior surface of the receptacle during all use-cycles. Over the several-years test period only one mister nozzle was replaced. Maintenance time: three minutes. Cost: less than $5.00 (retail). Otherwise, a periodic cleaning of its exterior surface and a typical cleaning of the restroom is all that's been needed.
Flowmist's IP Portfolio Expands to SmartAppliance Automated IoT Systems for Entire Lavatories Want the best in water and energy efficiency for buildings too? How about full automation, with entire system 'Data-Wise™' monitoring and reports, complete/secure on-site and remote control of any SmartAppliance or entire systems? Check out more features of our 'Connected SmartAppliance' Systems for entire lavatories / commercial market in the image-gallery above. The last five pages feature seven patent drawings from one of our early-filed commercial IoT systems pending patents. Each of our commercial system designs provide ultra-low water and energy use solutions optimized by a periodic-rinsing or flushing of a main drainage line connected with our ultra-low water use (24/7 data-monitored) Flowmist SmartAppliances. This means, even corrosive and/or odor-causing waste liquid found lingering or accumulating in drainage lines of waterless urinal systems--due to insufficient fluid to properly clear waste liquid and odors--can be flushed right down the drain with finely-tuned ultra-low water use periodic-rinsings. Similarly, periodic microdroplet rinsings of waste liquid and odors lingering on waterless urinal surfaces are also provided. This innovative drainage line-flushing alone, means waterless appliance systems can now be retrofitted into buildings without the exhorbitant expense of tearing out and/or replacing existing copper lines--a costly problem cited in our home page side bar link: Troubles with Waterless Urinals Reported
Title, Abstract and FIG. 1 -- From Our Commercial SmartAppliance / IoT Systems Patent Application:
System for Automated, On-Site and Remote Management of Restroom
Ultra High Efficiency-Appliances and Interoperable Components Thereof
ABSTRACT: A system is provided for automated, on-site and remote managing, maintaining and control of restroom ultra high efficiency (UHE) appliances, components and interoperable-components thereof, in a water and energy conserving manner. System-wide monitorings, of use-cycles and cumulative-usage pertaining to UHE-appliances and/or components, provide system-data communicable to system control means for automated-control of UHE-rinsings of UHE-appliances and plumbing. In on-site and remote system modes, system-data is communicable via the internet or a network and made accessible to an authorized-user, in 2D/3D formats, for adjusting, setting or controlling system parameters/settings via a user-interface and touch-screen of an on-site wall-mounted apparatus or by NFC/RFID interaction therewith, or remotely, via a user-interface of a wireless handheld device, Smartphone, tablet or computing device. UHE-appliances/components are configurable to pass less than two ounces of water per use-cycle and UHE-rinsings, and optionally include modular monitor-and-report plug-in components e.g., sensor, timer, monitoring means, flow-meter, valve-controller, and the like.

What Makes These 'Connected SmartAppliance' IoT Systems? Our commercial IoT system designs provide 24-7 full-automation, on-site and/or remote control -- based on usage and cumulative-use data monitoring and reporting (e.g., control signal and timing data of such). Being thus Data-Wise™ about all of its ultra-low water use SmartAppliances / at any facility (patent pending) each Flowmist system finely-tunes, automates and ensures an optimal ultra-low water and energy use management. Including even, periodic rinsing of waterless urinal systems' main drainage lines of their potentially corrosive and/or odor-causing liquid waste (e.g., with captured grey water). On-site IoT system control includes secure-access wall-mount or service panel devices accessible via authorized user password entry and/or by instant NFC card or NFC apparatus access. Remote IoT system access, with full data reporting, is made available to authorized personnel at any time and virtually any place, providing complete control over any SmartAppliance and entire systems--at the touch of a finger. Total-System remote control options include bi-directional communication made with portable wireless handheld devices (such as smartphones, tablets, portable computing devices, and the like) equipped to communicate securely with a system via radio frequency communication, or over a network or the internet e.g., Wi-Fi, BlueTooth, LAN, WAN, NFC, RFID, TCP/IP, FTP, Ethernet and Firewire. Portable device secure-communication is accessed via a browser interface and/or downloadable iOS, Android or Windows compatible apps accessed on any of the above-mentioned devices. Flowmist commercial SmartAppliance systems can also be updated, repaired or upgraded at any time by optional modular plug-in components e.g., simply plug in a modular sensor, timer, monitoring means, flow meter, valve-controller, (etc.) right into an available socket.
Ultra-Low Maintenance SmartAppliances Designed for Homes and Buildings On our 'Home' and 'Testing' web pages you can read and see how Flowmist microdroplet-rinsing instantly repells waste-liquid and sends odors right down the drain--doing so with ultra-low maintenace. Unlike completely 'waterless' urinals installed in or retrofit into commercial buildings and public lavatories--with their not-initially-apparent costs--none of the following repeated and/or initial expenses are encountered with Flowmist SmartAppliances: regularly replaced drain-cover components, costly cleaning solutions, deodorizers and/or materials; special training specific to waterless urinals and often intensive or unexpected on-going maintenance costs. Now, many of these expenses are eliminated when waterless appliance management is handled by one or our 24/7 automated 'Connected SmartAppliance' Commercial Systems (described above).
In contrast to Status Quo Maintenance, Flowmist Offers Elegant Cost-Saving Simplicity: A simple Flowmist mister-nozzle filter (rarely needing any service) can quickly be cleaned or the nozzle easily replaced as needed--at a nozzle-cost of less than $5.00 (retail). The commercial test model shown above so far, has had one nozzle replacement--taking less than three minutes of maintenance.
